"They taught me in sniper school you just try to fit into your environment and that's what I'm trying to do."

- Joe Marcinko

There is no single solution to making the transition from military life to civilian life easier. A holistic approach that explores the veteran’s physical and mental needs, in addition to social needs, may help prevent some feelings of isolation. Combining each of these aspects can create an environment where veterans can apply positive elements of military life, such as being goal-oriented, hardworking and disciplined and ultimately allow them to thrive in civilian society.

There are numerous resources around Ohio for veterans who might be struggling physically, mentally or emotionally. Additionally, there are services available for the families and friends of enlisted and veteran members of the military.
